Places of Worship

The set subject this month is Places of Worship. The images are to depict places of religion, faith or devotion. For me, this is an easier topic than last month. However, the challenge is to take images that not only are technically good but also are interesting and catch the viewers’ attention.

Marie and I visited a number of churches looking for the one that will be a bit different to the norm and hopefully give us an edge in the competition. Also, some of the more colourful churches are the Orthodox ones but often they are not open to the public here in Brisbane.

We were able to identify a couple of private chapels and we sought permission to photograph them. Permission was granted and I received a merit for each of my shots of these private chapels.
